Today myself and Michael a mate of mine decided we would go for a walk at 6am at ChurchHill National Park. I got there around 5 past 6 and Michael was already there.
We both heard what sounded like a car running, at first i thought maybe it was generator although i did see a car parked down across the pinic area (about 200-300 meteres from our cars) from my headlights.
We tried to go for a walk but found that the tracks were full of spider webs, that it was also to hard to see where we were going with Michaels torch and decided we\'ll wait till it gets brighter (it was pretty much pitch black) around 6.30am it was bright enough to see and michael thought that we might as well go the opposite direction on the tracks rather then our normal path. We also wanted to see why the car was idling the entire time we were there.
We didn\'t go near the car earlier simply because we thought either someone had just left the car, people may have been in the car doing whatever they were doing or it had a turbo timer that didn\'t shut the engine off.
So we started to walk past the car and noticed that there were pipes going from the back of the cars exhast to the side window. The car was fully taped up on all the window seals and even the boot.
Both Michael and I didn\'t have a mobile (cell) phone and I waved down a guy that had just turned into the parking area to see if he had a mobile.
I called the police straight away and asked them what should we do, they told us to open the car if we could. Which we did and we found a man in his late 20s to early 30s that had killed himself.
Michael went around to the other side of the car to open the doors while I turned of the engine. The 000 (our 911) operators asked me if i wanted to try CPR on the guy and i just told them that we\'ve been here around 30 minutes and theres probably no point. (also teh fact that i didn\'t want to touch a dead guy) They seemed to agree and a few minutes later the ambulance arrived. Then about a hour or so later the police did.
When the ambulance people arrived they told us that the dood had been dead for quite some time and that even if we had opened the car when we first arrived there would have been nothing we could do..
So there u have it, my shitty morning and i\'m waiting for the police to call to make a statement.
