Amazing what our little Tampa story has become.

Amazing how political it has become.  I\'m emberassed to be a republican.

These stupid ass congressmen don\'t know shit about this case and just jump on it as a right to life type of thing.

Give me a break.

This has dragged on long enough.  Let the poor girl pass.

The pictures they show on TV are all 4-5 years old.  We have congressmen saying that they reviewed the tapes and she didn\'t look like she was in a PVS.  Yet doctors who have been by her side for years all say there is no hope.  Ugh.  I need to go spit and kick my dog.

why the hell can\'t these people move on?  She\'s been braindead for how long now?  I say as long as the parents want to flip the bill let her live... this story blows.

A pillow....or a good shot of adrenaline, a la Million Dollar Baby - should suffice.

Kore you are the one that needs enlightenment my friend. ;)

I think most of you are missing the point here - she didn\'t have a living will.  Apparently activist judges now will admit hearsay into evidence.

As much as I think Congress shouldn\'t have gotten involved - in a way I am happy they did as our Judicial branch hasn\'t had anyone check or balance them in some time.

She isn\'t Shaivo anymore, she\'s just a brain dead corpse. Let it die.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Hey, don\'t misspell my name.  I\'m not from Amerika, I\'m from the United States of AmeriCa!

You are not a legal expert, Giga.  Congress was attempting to reverse the general direction of state law and judicial rulings in cases like this one.  When there is no living will, the decision should either be made by medical experts, as stated in the Texas law that George Bush signed in 1999, or by the next of kin.  The Parents are not the next of kin; the spouse is.  He would know better what this woman\'s wishes were.  That\'s the precedent, and that\'s the basis of the many rulings supporting Michael Shiavo over the years.  Why do you assume the courts rulings were based on some political motivation?  Why are you so quick to abandon the Rule of Law?

You think it\'s no big deal to leave a human being in a vegetative state just to placate the parents who can\'t let go?  I say that is horrific.

Since when did you get your MD Kore?  You are right about this being a politically motivated topic - by the left.  As I stated before our Judicial system seems to think it doesn\'t fall under the checks and balances set up by our country.

This is totally different than the law he signed while Governor of Texas and you know it Koredweller. ;)   This is a family dispute and no, I don\'t think the husband should have the right to decide her fate especially given his current status and relationship with another woman.

Oh and about her burial - the husband won\'t agree to let the family bury her in Florida where her family resides he wants her buried in PA and wants to limit their access to her gravesite.

All of your Republican buddies on this forum are against you on this Giga.  Videoholic, Gman, Jumpman, etc etc.  Refer to the many polls that have been done on this subject in the last couple days.  You are not a moderate Giga.  You are the FRINGE.
