Looks good in that pic.Good news are that it might return back to its TR1 roots
Uhm, no i hadn\'t forgotten T1\'s first levels at all. My point is that I see no point in rehashing that old game.
One of the major selling points of that game was the 90\'s novelty of a playable game babe.
I truly am of opinion that is and should be an outdated thing, if Tomb Raider wants to have a good shot at reviving itself as a succes game franchise.
So, to make it adhere to the more realistic premise of today\'s games Lara should at least wear appropriate and believable outfits in each situation.
Judging by the screenshot, they again lack the technology to make the engine look realistic which gives a poor excuse to go for comic book (think DangerGirl) \'realism\' once more.
From the software side of it I am all for for this game to leave current consoles behind except Xbox. Create a high end base engine like Ubi did with SplinterCell 3. Otherwise they\'ll be stuck with having to port to all consoles again and thus the development budget waters down and spread over all versions. Then the engine will be adjusted for the lowest denominator again ; PS2 and NGC.
Create something new and stunning I\'d say for PC anc Xbox. Yeah, a high end engine CAN cater to new innovative gameplay.
Of course, nobody will ever listen to me ; and we\'ll get another Tomb Raider game with visuals slightly better than AoD and gameplay which is just the same as TombRaider one with maybe one single new feature ; across PS2, NGC, Xbox and PC once more some lackluster sales for a sorry attempt at reviving a franchise.
I know Crystal Dynamics is a good dev, but this screenshot and the whole rehashed 90\'s babe concept is far from a being a renaissance.
