« on: April 05, 2005, 02:10:56 PM »
Ok well i just got the online adapter thing right....so heres my question

i have a house and its 2 floors, my room is in the second floor, and htis is where i usually play my PS2....problem is i have no computer upstairs i have one downstairs in the first floor.

now i was thinking of just bringing my PS2 downstairs for whenever i wanna play online , but i was thinking can i do that ? will somthing happen to my PS2?

also is there a way that i can get a router and get a very very long cable so that i can hook it up from my computer to upstairs ?

also can you get virus\'s? like on your ps2 or somthin?

which is the cable that i need to hook up to the PS2?

my computer is set up like this (i have yahoo DSL)

my computer is normal and it has a cable connected to my modem (speedstream) . now which connection do i unhook and hook up to my PS2?

do i unhook the computer? or the modem?or do i dissconnect the phoneline? which one?

any help is welcome

- No - (nothing will happen to your PS2)

- Yes.  If you have the money, buy a router.  You will be able to use as many "online" machines as you want.

- Not on your ps2 -  (it only connects to certain GAME servers that are heavily guarded.)

- Ethernet Cat.5 cable. -

- (ETHERNET)  The one that looks like a large phone cable - (it\'s plug is wider than a regular phone cable.)

- If you unplug the cord from the computer, and put it in the BIG plug in your PS2 online adapter, it should work. -

You could also get a wireless router and game adapter. That\'s what my friend and I both did.

Costly, but you can use it for any system.
