Xbox 360 Symbol Unveiled?

Microsoft mailed invitations for the E3 event.  Humm 360 circle? Xbox 360 symbol?

Det är inte varje dag vi får en skum spegel med 70-talsmönster i brevlådan så det tyckte vi var värt att skriva om på siten. Det märkliga brevet var i själva verket en inbjudan till Microsofts E3-presskonferens med efterföljande fest. Vad betyder de hypnotiska ringarna? Vi kommer rapportera direkt från Shrine Auditorium i Los Angeles den 16:e maj om vad Microsoft har att säga. Då har visserligen redan deras nya konsol presenterats på MTV, men vi räknar med att ännu fler detaljer presenteras på presskonferensen.

It\'s a giant green DC swirl. You can\'t deny it.
Curious about the controller. Ah hell , it has to be better than the original Xbox controller (tho\' I love the S controller).

It does not look like the DC swirl.  It\'s not even a swirl, it\'s a number of rings.  Watch the clip pstwo supplied.

Reminded me of it as well, that is until I saw it moving.  Then it looks nothing like the DC swirl, not even a little bit.

It looks like whoever sent out the invitation has a couple of children who went a little crayon happy.

Reminds me of english class when I use to draw circles swirling into a center. That\'s honestly all I can say when I saw this monstrosity of a logo.

I don\'t think it\'s meant to be seen moving(IE non hypnotic logos on consoles).

If it\'s part of the marketing campaign, as the article suggests, then it will be seen moving at some point or another.  The promotion seems to be "Amplify", thus all the rings scaling.

Notice: "the ring of light".  Sounds singular to me.
Now, if you are to watch the animation of the rings then you\'ll see it eventually goes down to one ring, which makes sense with the "360" and all.

May 12th isn\'t too far away.  I\'m going to reserve judgement on it until then...

Sometimes I wonder what\'the point of it all.  It\'s just a computer that plays games.

Why do we need to make threads and speculate on the (possible) new symbol?

Perhaps I\'m just getting old and bitter but meh.
