I hope Sony will reveal the PS3 specs on Tuesday (midnight for us, we are in the same time zone :D) now when the X360 specs are known.

What is supposedy what \'they claim\'. Afaik they didn\'t claim anything concrete on specs nor exact performance.

I have a feeling that few ppl on this board actually read the tech article links i posted in various PS3 tech threads. They make sense.

PS3 will be the comeback of Rambus with their XDram and Nvidia\'s 2nd phase of comeback after their Geforce FX farce.

Having read the tech articles , \'Cost\'  comparisons between Xbox360 and PS3 are pretty pointless, becuz the architecture of PS3 will probably differ as much or even more from Xbox360,
than PS2 to Dreamcast.

They chose an expensive storage medium, expensive cell, and expensive memory. They\'ll have to scale down the specs to get this thing out on to store shelves @$300 price tag.

And I don\'t think sony will go to far to 1up microsoft because sony just doesn\'t have to. No matter what the ps3 has on the inside I bet they feel they still can\'t lose.

I expect both consoles to be very simular performance wise.

Look if they want to really steal the show they\'ll do it at E3 that would make sense, let the Xbox role and show what it has and then drop a bomb on them at E3 that of course is what\'d you\'d like to see but we\'ll have to wait.

Yes !!! the console wars are a foot.

Whose machine will be the more powerful ?  I love the year or 2 leading up to the launch when we get numerous 4 - 10 page rants on why machine A will kick machine B\'s ass

Even if machine b doesn\'t have Dynasty Warriors.


I personally do believe the cell technology will be pretty intense, btu I have no idea what to expect power wise as a whole. Sony will more then likely announce huge numbers that do not represent actual game numbers like they did with the PS2. Which will leave th einterent forums buzzing about what is real and what is possible.

Knowing Microsoft they\'ll do the same.


In the end the gamers are the winners !!!  I\'m real glad Microsoft entered the gaming market, they will push Sony and the industry farther fastger !!!

Now lets call out some Xbox dogs and tell them their XBox 360 sucks ;)

agreed with ddary and sure both MS and Sony machines will be extremely powerful , so powerful that the beauty of a game won\'t be due to a difference of 50 M polys/sec on paper or due to a total of 1.5 teraflop instead of only one!:D

but if you ask me, and I should place a bet, I\'d say/forecast PS3 more powerful than XBox360,  I mean the Cell more powerful than the X CPU and the Nvidia GPU more powerful than ATI GPU and more overall bandwidth for PS3, and it\'s only my 6th sense obviously:D

I would take ATI over nividia anyday. And nothing has been said concerning the ps3 gpu as of yet. So I guess we will just have to wait and see. But people are expecting these mind blowing specs.
The hype machine sure is going.

Maybe we will get toy story graphics after all.

Well, nVidia and ATí have been playing this game for a long time. I expect both GPU\'s to be generally on par. Even if one of them is more powerful than the other, the rest of the system specs will even out that difference.

Only 3 hours left now.

Since the conference won’t be broadcasted live you\'ll have to go here to get the latest info on what’s being shown. The site will have a dude at the conference and he will be armed with a telephone and report everything that is being shown, the site will update with his impressions.
