May 13, 2005 - Quietly adding a few drops to a flood of Xbox 360 news, Namco today announced its first project for the system, an action-adventure game called Frame City. The developer will make use of Epic\'s Unreal 3 engine -- a first for a Japanese developer.Frame City takes place in Frame City in the year 2042. A powerful visualization tool called Visual Frame has spread throughout the world like iPod (okay, Namco doesn\'t actually use "iPod" in the game\'s story description, but you get the point), allowing just about anything to be put in visual form. Instead of using this power to view naked girls, a group of terrorists working under a ring leader called Khan plan to shock people to death using special visual data called Visual Acid. You play Crow, a special agent in an elite force called SOU. You\'ve been sent to Frame City to assassinate Crow. You\'ll make use of hand-to-hand combat and guns as you work through action-based stages. Specific gameplay details will be revealed shortly.Namco promises a game that will make use of the Xbox 360\'s superior abilities to deliver a world with high levels of freedom and international appeal. A worldwide release is planned for the end of this year, with Namco hoping to sell a million copies.
