This whole 30HZ issue is getting blown outta control.  It\'s a different story if the new console can only handle 30hz, not if a company decides for whatever reason to target 30hz.

As for those 2 new screens, looks kinda like the post-filtering (bloom, field of depth, color correction) effects they used on hitman contacts then fog effects.

Personally im not too surprised. Perhaps 30Hz should be a thing of the past with all of this technology blah blah etc. but with all the advancements over the last gen, we are also going to get new games that push the limits of these consoles. They can easily handle last gen games at 60Hz easy. Thats a given, but when a system is being pushed, its no surprise that the refresh rate/fps are going to dip.

Just my opinion.

Thing is consoles are more and more acting like computers.  PC gamers think 30fps is a joke, especially when a decent gaming monitor runs at 85hz and beyond.

If consoles continue to support 30fps then pc gamers have one more thing to brag about.

You are right to some extend.But things arent going that way exactly.
With the 32 bit consoles almost all games were running at 30fps and lower.
40-60 fps was an achievement.
then with the 128but consoles 60fps was normal 30fps were games that the console couldnt handle well thanks to detail
Now we ve got these "beasts" and tolerating 30fps especially in first gen games doesnt sound right.
