1st screenshot : look at the concrete walls on the right of the stairs. That is definately ingame geometry & texturing. Any high end cg animator would have found that unacceptable in his work.
Also, the way that Hellghast\'s coat moves when he falls looks like we\'ve known it in high end pc games which use Havoc.
2nd screenshot : look at the floor. Looks like ingame texture to me. Charactermodels look like 7000 to 10.000 polygon models with great textures and normal mapping. They DO stand out with sharp edges from the background though ; any prerender would have made for softer silhouettes

linkSo, I tend to the side to think this might just be the realtime engine. I\'m NOT saying like final ingame, just realtime engine. Most likely scripted and an overabundance of particle effects.
Sony & Guerrilla would do good though, to actually clarify on the whole discussion, on record.
