yeah, I got some minor stuttering problems from time to time.  I also read everywhere that this game is a RAM hog.  You need at least 1.5 gigs to ensure no harddrive swapping.  :(

oh yeah, and i\'m buying the game toinght.  :)

I have the game too, finding that it has strange texture issues that are blacking out and going normal.. very strange.

I had that problem, install the drivers that came with the game. :)

Ugh, sloppy!
Cant afford any new RAM right now (I have 1024), what can I chance to free up some RAM? Draw distance?

I think i\'m gonna try to do the selective startup and only run required services to bootup.  That way almost all of your system resources are free.  I always do this when I benchmark, but doing it for this game may help out as well.

Just type "msconfig" in the run box and i\'m sure you can figure it out.  :)

but really though, the skipping from time to time isn\'t that noticable... I chalked it up to internet lag more than anything so far.  Plus a future patch may help clear up some of the problems.

I\'ve been running everything high except for turning off dynamic shadows and some other setting I had at medium (shadow detail maybe?).  I\'m running at least 50-60fps on average.

You have a 6800 series GPU faston?

Got the game on my lunch break.. had to try 3 different places, but I finally found it at Target($5 off and last DVD version left)

i got the game too but every time i try to join a game it says "joining server", then the screen flashes really quick and it stays in the lobby, never loading a server.

kinda pisses me off. Why cant any of these companies get a damn game right, lol. First UBI pissed me off with their ghost recon AND raven shield shananigans...now EA has more than a few annoying problems. Not saying dont get the game..because it works for many (also doesnt work for a good amount of people)..but dammit.

I just played the game for about the past 5 hours straight without a single problem.  Tried my hand at being a squad leader and that kicks ass (as long as you have a good commander dishing out the commands to give to your squad).  Playing as a team with 5 or 6 guys really makes it that much better, I didn\'t think it would before tonight.

And I acutally enjoyed being a medic more than anything.  Probably least enjoy playing as support, cause their guns are the least accurate.  But in a squad you need one to refill everyone\'s ammo.  Spec Ops is fun too, I love planting c4 on the back of a tank or on a flag and waiting for someone to capture it :D

Brilliant game... I still have only seen 4 out of the 12 maps, and so far they are pretty decent.

Wonder why you are having trouble logging into a server... do you have punkbuster checked at the bottom?

i looked around some bf2 forums and found i had to go to the bf2/support folder in my computer and re-enter the cd-key, then it randomly works. Guess a lot of people had that problem, but now its working perfectly for me.

I\'m having enough fun with the demo so I don\'t have to buy the game just yet. :D

It\'s the best demo of a game I\'ve ever tried. It\'s not crippled like they usually are (well, if you\'re not counting the fact that it\'s just one level).
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!

If you think the demo is fun, wait until you play the Chinese maps.. Awe-awe-SOM€! :D

Gulf of Oman is probably the worst map in the full game. :p

I actually kinda like Gulf of Oman  :(  and I think Mashtuur City is awesome

I think one of the worst maps is Kubra Dam.... it\'s just too damn hard to get around on that map.  That and Cleansweep or whatever it\'s called, with the bunch of linked up islands.

But 10 out of 12 maps ain\'t bad... ;)

i still run into connection problems which sucks. I have cable, and my ping says stuff like 23 and 42..but i still get the "you have a connection problem." And the people im playing with dont get it as often as i do. It could be my router but i have no idea where to begin to find the ports and what-not.

Anyone figure out how to unlock all the guns? Been playing on ranked servers but all i get are random badges.

i\'m finding if I only play games with a green bar on the left the game hardly has any lag at all.
