Fight Night coming to XBOX360
« on: August 19, 2005, 06:39:34 AM »
Yes its coming to XBOX360.

This should be very interesting since it would be one of the first titles that might be an indication to how similar PS3 and xbox360 are in performance.

If X360 handles the same visuals and physics as well as the PS3 then competition will be stiffer ;)

Since when were multi-platform games ever an indication on how close two different pieces of hardware perform? ;)

personally, i always felt any multi-platform game never got the true support of a single console game.

and what\'s your point? that chaos theory is the deciding benchmark in which games pushes both hardware most?

it shows how much the xbox version owned the ps2 version? and how much disparity there can be between two versions of the same game on different platforms? O_O

Personally, I don\'t think there\'d be too much difference between the next gen\'s visuals. I went to nVidia\'s Australia Tech Day (it was just a stupid press conference in a tiny room at the local Sydney Marriot - but at least I got a free lunch. :p ) That nerd wannabe with an MBA said the RSX (PS3 GPU) will be based on the GeForce 7800 architecture. We can already see what that\'s capable of and it isn\'t too much different from the ATI powered Xbox360.

It\'s probably a mistake to judge things by graphics in the next generation. Especially with Nintendo Revolution concentrating their efforts on new gameplay experiences. Obviously ONLINE is going to be a big pillar. I guess it remains to be seen if Nintendo\'s just not pushing bullshit hype.

Okay... oh wait, I can see that disparity on Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance to the direct opposite too!

No pun intended when I refuse to take multi-platform games as any sort of meaningfull benchmark...

agreed with seven\'s irony, some, most multi platform developers will never waste time and resources to push any single piece of hardware, it\'s useless, for them is good to make money, not spending money :D ...

devs will develop for the lowest common denominator

you\'re kidding yourself if you think the industry does otherwise

Which is why PC gaming doesn\'t progress that much. But every once in a while a game comes a long with incredible graphics and becomes a new "benchmark" for everyone else to follow or try to exceed. Of course...this leads to people having to constantly upgrade their sh^t all the time.

And Fight Night 3 is?

Chaos Theory came out pretty late into both systems life, they are simple comparisons.
