Cool thread idea...

Slayer - Payback : Reminds me of kicking this one kids ass. He was being a douche bag , so I knocked his ass out.

"This is for the mindfuck
This is for the hell of it
This is for me- I\'m going to
Tear your fucking eyes out
Rip your fucking flesh off
Beat you till you\'re just a fucking lifeless carcass"

Primus - Frizzle Fry : This album I associate the most with smoking marijuana. Probably the funkiest album known to man.

"I don\'t believe in charity.
I don\'t believe in sin.
And if you don\'t believe in me,
We\'ll play this tune over again."

Nine Inch Nails - Piggy : I went through a time in my life when I was really on a downard spiral. This song always brings out those depressing thoughts in me.

"Nothing can stop me now, Cause I just dont care...."

The Grateful Dead - St. Stephen : My father (deceased) was a huge Deadhead, this being his favorite song. I got a Grateful Dead record when I was young, and listened to it almost every day.

Lady finger, dipped in moonlight, writing "What for?" across the morning sky.
Sunlight splatters, dawn with answer, darkness shrugs and bids the day goodbye.
Think for yourself. Question authority.

Ok ok... I\'ll list one ...

From April 04 until November 04 with Rome (Italy) vacation as the \'highlight\'.
- that time is very much connected for me to the Sheer\'s The Keyword is Excitement.

Basically..it began falling in love, getting rejected , getting vacation late, going on vacation by my ff-ing self as means to mend broken heart etc.

Yeah, it pretty much works that way somehow ; that album \'illustrates\' that timeframe for me alot.

Heh there\'s a Kanye West song that reminds me of a chick I was with for a little bit.

"Now I ain\'t sayin\' she\'s a gold digger..."

Here\'s one.

NiN - Hersery

I was raised as a Jehovah\'s Witness and my mother was heavily religious while I was younger. Now I am an athiest and have been since I was around 13. This song was the first one that really vocalized what I thought about the whole issue of \'God\'. While now that I am older I do realize there is more mature ways of voicing your opinion on religion ( as opposed to screaming, "YOUR GOD IS DEADDDDDDDDDDD"), still to this day, when I hear that song I think about the days as a Jehovah\'s Witness.

I dig the 80\'s vibe the Killers  try  to pull off.
As far as it goes, I can\'t stand My Chemical Romance , but I can listen to \'Helena\' all day long, just because that was the first song we listened to in the car on our first date.
I like The White Stripes for that reason, because they have that older sound to them...and Depeche Mode. Hearing music like this almost seems fresh among the garbage being put out today.

I know. I was just saying. They haven\'t changed...which is good. Some bands have been around FOREVER.

A good 80-90% percent of the stuff played on Top 40 radio sucks today. Seriously.

For those living in the Boston area (BS and  a few others I know..) KISS 108. Enough said.

Do any of you ever wonder who Trent is really speaking to?  After listening to his latest album, I just get this freaky chill thinking about the content.

Not saying I dont love his music to death. I just see a lot of weird symbols that sometimes make me wonder if they\'re really supposed to be taken metaphorically or not. Probably why I\'ve always like his music.

His latest album was poor in my opinion. Pretty Hate Machine hasn\'t even been topped yet, probably never will be.

Too cut, too clean, no expansion musically, really linear, and frankly only a few songs I really liked.

So sorry that I made a typo.

P.S - If you listen to \'Pretty Hate Machine\' it is extremely dated . I would say either \'Broken\' or \'The Fragile\' is his best work.

Id say aged to perfection. :)

Its just PHM is so good.

I think it would be an awesome if he remade the album with a new darker feel, just a thought.
