You think one of the parts in my computer may be preventing the computer from even powering up?  If that\'s the case its most likely the RAM, but there\'s no way for me to be certain at this moment, I\'ll try putting the old RAM back in tomorrow.

if it isn\'t even switching on i\'d check the powersupply.  You didn\'t accidentily switch the button on the back did you?  There is also a voltage selector switch, make sure that is right as well.

I did the same thing you did.

I had 1.5g of ram. I went to add another 512 of the exact same RAM and after I did the thing wouldnt even start up.

Took out the RAM I had just put in and it started up fine.

a) You didn\'t make sure the RAM was installed tightly
b) You got some faulty RAM
c) You b0rked your PC while it was open
