Hey everybody i have not really posted much in the past couple weeks. The flu has been making its way through the house twice, so i have been sick as a dog lately but im feeling much better also therapy has been put on hold for a while. The spasms in my leg have gotten pretty bad. So the dr\'s decided to try botox therapy to see if that would help. Well it only had limited results but not enough of a difference to continue with more injections. And at $ 3.000 a pop not very cost effective.So next step is the possibility is the implant of a baclofen pump.So i am waiting for a appointment.

Well its good to hear from you. Glad you\'re feeling better. I never got the flu but the rest of my family has and I can see that it sucks.

welcome back and hope things goes well for you.  That is really expensive though, $3,000 for botox therapy.  Really wish that you get cured as fast as possible so you can walk and enjoy life again.

Retaining it is not as easy as it sounds...

What are you guys freakin kidding me who am i? I have been around since january. Give me a friggin break will ya. I take baclofen in a pill form 3 times daily and im at my peak level and all it does is make me tired . The pump dispenses the medication in liquid form is a 1000 times more potent. And requires only a fraction of the amount, the pump is the size of a hockey puck. And is surgiclly placed in the abdominal area a line goes from the pump, to the spine. The medication is injected directly into the spine and goes directly to the needed area, which is in my case my leg and arm. They are both parilyzed and suffer from incredible spasms.I am hoping this will be what i need for the next stage of my recovery.
