IM BACK and a update

Well tomorrow i go for the baclofen trial, so i will let you know how it goes.  Honestly i am a little nervous. Not a big fan of lumbar puntures.

Just got home from the baclofen trial and it worked great, took away all the spasms and revealed weak muscles underneath.Iniatially my legs were rubber. However soon i was able to walk only even slower then i usually do. Only part i did not like was the lumbar punture, hurt like a bastard. Anyway im gona have the surgery for the pump surery i think feb14, then back to therapy.

Not to toot my own horn, buti have gone from getting out of the wheelchair where they said i would never walk again. Plus also learned how to talk , eat, dress myself. It really has been a tough two years. I HAVE A ADOPTED A PHrase which incrediblly rings true. Never, never,never quit, spoken by winston churchill. I would rather try and fail, then to never try at all. Words i have lived my entire life,people telling me what i can and can not do.I THEN GET P\'OD and figure out a way to do what ever it is just to spite them. But your standing on the tracks and the train is coming through butthead.

Well my surgery is this tuesday the 21st at 7.39 so i have to be there at 6am for that baclofen pump. I am not a big fan of surgery , but it is necassary at times

I don\'t think too many of us like surgery. Except maybe Swifdi when he had his sex change operation. Other than that, no. Glad to hear you are making more progress. Keep us updated man

Found out i dont need to be at the hospital till 8.30 am so i can sleep a little longer.I will let you know how it went when i get home wednesday.

Hi everyone im home and resting, a little sore. The procedure went well but they wanted to keep me one night to watch me. Did not get up to my room till 6pm, and my roommate was sick as a dog. Felt sorry for him, almost like he has the flu and a massive migraine, but they did not think so. I got home and went to bed at 5.30 and slept till 10 this morning. . They inserted the pumpin a spot just below my ribs on the right side, plus there is a incision on my spine area where they had to thread the cathetur. But things are good my friends im already walking and i have a new cane that looks like a steppladder, so i guess im ready to paint LOL.

It is a baclofen pump, it dispenses the med directly to my spine. Tking away the spasms. There is a a cathetur that goes from the pump to my spine, im trying to figure out how to turn the tv on with it. But thus far no such luck. So far the things working great.They were origionally made for people with ms, but found they work great with stroke patients.

You\'re really coming along. Pretty impressive, actually. Keep it up.

Sucks about the incisions and all that, but at least it\'s working.
