Somebody botched the call...

Early Impressions

Not all bad, but come on Microsoft, this is disapointing, even for you.
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan

I wouldn\'t call 2007 "right around the corner".

Until Xmas 06, patient gamers will have a considerable spending budget.

By that time we will also know more about what all parties can bring to the table. Basically, my PStwo, Xbox and PC have another year of life in them.

I see a nice game like PGR3 in stores \'now\', but that\'s certainly not enough to go and buy a new console.

Man, I would rather Sony wait  untill 2007 and they take there time to release the machine they hype.

I also think it would be better if MS and Sony split console cycles runs at every 2 1/2 - 3  years, but thats an unlikely scenario.

There\'s another competitor in 2006.....

the PC !

the new videocards in 06 will show their force, so MS will have to make sure anything on Xbox360 will look at least as good as what that Geforce 512 or Radeon1800XT PE card can push.

It\'s a fight for consumers\' budgets ; an upgraded pc plus xbox360 gamepad pc version Versus Xbox360 itself....

This doesn\'t make sense. The PC was always there and they barely or even have any effect on console sales.

There was never a console more powerful than a PC, even at launch.

Crackhead.

The PC is no competition. It is a different beast altogether and people don\'t typically buy $500 dollar videocards for x-mas. PC gaming is a breed of it\'s own and should have no mention in this thread.

Oh and Xbox 360 launch = failure by all accounts. It was rushed. They announced the system,  next thing you know there is a release date and now the suppose killer apps are either bein\' delayed at last moment or not even goin\' thru testing.

Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.
