Over-rated? Hardly. Name a better suspense - serial killer movie, by all means.

Oh and Paul2, the movie is too complicated for you. You\'d get confused. Stick to cartoons like \'Catdog\'!

the ending still doesnt fit. He becomes wrath?..so that leaves stuff open that now hes living with the last sin? It wouldve been more complete if the guy died for his sin of envy, then pitt died for his sin of wrath IMO.

Wrath wasn\'t the sin. Mills became wrath and punished John Doe for ENVY .

Envy: the killer
Gluttony: fat guy
Lust: Prostitute
Anger: ?????
Greed: Lawyer
Sloth: The guy tied up in the bed

ok..maybe im just not seeing it,lol. So anger, although listed as a deadly sin, only ends up in someone (pitt) doing the killing?

he thought what he was doing was gods will. Killing sinners.

Only explanation i got is he left pitt with the last sin, of anger. Because john kept saying hed always remember the day, and he didnt cut off his wifes head for shock value so hed remember it for being the 7th deadly sin.

Or maybe he just never finished his masterpiece. Maybe when he got obsessed with Mills , he became envy and knew what had to be done. It isn\'t like he had planned from the start to become envy.

That it is.

Fincher is a great director, but sometimes he gets lost in the details. One film that makes me think of that is Alien 3....Well, that or Panic Room.
