More hi-def the better, though.

Will a blu-ray disc play on an older DVD player?

I hoped it\'d play and just be a lower res.

That\'s too bad.

I\'ll buy a movie and only be able to watch it at home on my PS3... At least for a while, I guess.

Nope.
I won\'t rebuy them.
At this point, I could care less about more extras and a better transfer. Just give me the film, barebones and I\'m set. Therefor, Blu-Ray or HD offer nothing to me.

They are also gonna be more expensive when they are released than a regular DVD.

Well, they offer higher resolution, which is great if you have a HD display. If not, then I guess the point is moot.

Either way I\'d wub some HD action. But regular DVD\'s can look quite good nowadays, so I guess I\'ll manage with or without HD anyway.

I wonder if its worth it.We tend to sit far from our screens so I dont think the crispiness of HD quality will be much noticable.Unless someone is comparing a big size SDTV with a big size HDTV its a waste of money.

If we are going to notice difference it will mostly be on games I think

I\'d wish PS3 can be hooked up to any pc monitor to take advantage of the vga or dvi (yes dvi !) resolution.
