Let me make my point clear. Yes, it is technically wrong. No, she shouldn\'t have had sex with a minor.

That said, the boy was old enough to know what he was doing. When I was 11, I was already surfing porn sites and knew exactly what I wanted. I haven\'t looked into the case, but I doubt that the charges stem from the boy being unhappy with the outcome.

Yes it is wrong to have sex with minors, however i do have to say kids these days look much older then their years. Jeesh 13 14year old girls look 18 or 19. I have a feeling this boy new exactly what he was getting into, wish i was that lucky at his age.

The reason it\'s rape, is that yes, I\'m sure he knew EXACTLY what he was getting into in terms of the sex.  On the other hand, at 13, if he\'s gone through/going through puberty, is he able to appreciate the consequences of say, getting her pregnant?  Contracting an STD?  There\'s a reason we have an age of majority in most places, and that is that while a kid that age can understand an act, they often won\'t be considering long term consequences or possible outcomes as a result of an act.

I\'m not saying he didn\'t... he did know exactly what he was doing, but if you had come up to him before all this and asked him what his plan/response would be if she was having his child, what could it possibly have been?  Drop out of school at 13?  Get a job at 13?  Nothing?

I say lucky little SOB cause he\'s at that magical age where his ignorance of the consequences lets him do almost whatever he wants, and not only get off scott free, but probably end up with money from the lawsuits, soon to follow.
