Your car may take high octane fuel if it\'s knocking.  Either that or your computer got use to it and adjusted the timing.

Yeah that article only talked about slightly better mileage though, which I didn\'t think was the case at all.

are you sure about that vid?....not sayin\' you\'re wrong but that has almost been the case when it came to premium gas, that it cleans your engine...and to be honest, i\'ve experienced somewhat of a performance drop when i\'ve used regular as opposed to premium,...this was when i used to have my maxima, and as recently as filling up with regular with the lex*the acceleration just wasn\'t as strong*...i won\'t mention the metro tho, as no matter what you put in that thing, you won\'t feel the difference...

Shell adds cleaners in their Premium fuel to clean the engine. The octane rating isn\'t what cleans the engine but what the companies add in.

I like how nobody bothered reading the articles I posted.  Three of them, one of which at least you could say comes from a \'very reliable\' source.  

Premium fuel is not worth the price.  Save the 100 bucks a year and buy a good engine cleaner, or get an extra couple of tune-ups for better performance.

Unless you have a high compression engine.  Low Octane will ignite before the spark plug fires in an engine tuned for 91.

Fine... I\'m sorry.  Paying more or saving money by not matching your car\'s required fuel will have no benefits, and can cause damage to the vehicle.

BTW, why were you quoting me? I was responding to clips saying Premium cleans your engine because of the higher octane.
