Playoff Hockey, Bitches!

Tonights Edmonton game was crazy.  1 Goal in the first, then 8 more in the third!  What a game!  Looks like a Canadian team is going to go through to the finals, just gotta win one more!  Refs should have either let them fight or clamped down way harder in the first, because this half-way effort to calm them down just made the fights last longer.

The Sabres are pissing me off. They play a period of Hockey that completely destroys Carolina, then 2 subpar periods to round off the game.

We\'re hurting big time on Defense to with another injury.

we really are missing teppo numminen & timmy connolly....if maxim afenigenov could have scored on his chances, it would have helped his confidence...

Afinogenov reminds me alot of Chritian Rutuu. All the ability to get open and skate around defenders with little finshing ability.

The Sabres themselves have to learn to finish. Since the Fkyers series they haven\'t been convincing finishers.

Carolina looks like the better team out there and they have the Sabres working twice as hard for their opportunities IMO.

Buffalo.  I\'m sticking to my prediction of Ottawa in 6 this round, Ottawa in 5 or 7 next round (depending on who advances), and then The cup in 5 (the west is weak with the top four out).  

But hey, that\'s just me, eternal optimist!

woohooo!!!!!!!still in it.....sorry, been ignoring da boards, as I\'m working 60 hours a week, renovating my just purchased house, and sweating my balls off... it was  95 here today. it was 45 two weeks ago. I even turned down the front row tix for tonight\'s game so I could tear out carpet on the second floor.

Probably a good idea.... wasn\'t a very good game.  Boy was that ice bad (humidity) by the third period.

We\'re hurtin on D. One of our top D men is playing but only logging 10 minutes of ice time becuase of injury. 2 other D men are prety much out for the year now.  We\'ve called up 3 AHL D men that are playing admirably, but there defintiely a drop off in experience.


I personally think Edmonton would be better off getting Buffalo, and I believe Carolina has played a more solid series the Buffalo.

If Buffalo goes to the Cup it will be my 7th trip to the dance in my lifetime. 4 with the Bills and 3 with the Sabres, right now I\'m 0-6

Sabres had 4 injured D men for game 7. if we had a healthy team Carolina wouldn\'t have made it past game 6, and Edmonton wouldn\'t have had a chance.

But once again Buffalo is cursed. its amazing how much goes wrong for Buffalonian sports fans.

Well from what I understand the Sabres are moving back to the Blue and Gold in 2006 and that alone makes me happy.

Okay, the fucking oiler\'s owned the first, won the second, and then just fucked up the third.  I mean, I know it\'s Carolina\'s best fuckin\' period but really, that\'s bullshit!  Man I bet the Edmonton D that nailed his own goalie in the double-hit is kicking himslef now, without Roloson, the Oil is fucked.  I sure hope they can come back and win game two, they should steal one for sure.

Carolina is a strong 3rd period team.

the fact the Oilers had like 9 days rest IMO is the only reason they had a solid advantage in the 1st 2 periods. Carolina\'s skill and tenacity took over after they regained their composure.

I expect a different gam emore lopsided for Carolina tonight, especially since Roloson\'s out.


that being dsaid I can\'t think of a team less deservng of a cup victory then Carolina. They couldn\'t even sell out there 1st Stanley Cup game until game time.

In Edmonton and Buffalo Stanley Cup playoff tickets dissappear within minutes. Carolina fans have a weak heart, and did a lot of whining when Buffalo played them.

I predict Carolina will easily win this series, but IMO thats a negative thing.
