New Final Fantasy XIII Screens!!

If that hair those characters are in game, then consoles have finally achieved the kind of realism we\'ve all been waiting for.

Obviously the cut-scenes using the game engine will be a bit different [i.e. Metal Gear Solid], but it\'s obvious what parts were the actual game...and that was still f*ing amazing.

is pic #2 realtime?

call me crazy, but FF8 was my favorite and i\'m glad to see them return to a \'futeristic\' backdrop

The CGI rendered look a tad better than realtime, but the difference the two is so small that i think it\'s nearly indistinguishable.

I miss a Final Fantasy with a dark atmosphere. Like 7.

I liked that one, not as good as FF7, but better than FF9.
 
 
Last one I got, was FFX, kinda went off them after that one for some reason.

of all 4 that I have played, only 3 I finished, the final boss in FF8 was by far the hardest as I recall. The boss in FF7 was a piece of piss with KOTR w-summoned & mimed. FF9 was the one I got bored with. FFX was piss poor as a final boss, once you got the aeons out of the way, it was easy to finish off.

Correction then...I miss....a NEW final fantasy with dark atmosphere.

Btw. Although I have 9 I didnt have the chance to progress. My PS1 is not at home. Its in.....Saudi Arabia

I assume you have PS2. You do know they are backwards compatible, right?

Its more complicated than that

1)My copy is ALSO in Saudi Arabia

2)Its a copy......literally. Pirated. They only sell pirate games there. My PS2 isnt modded hehe

I prefer a futuristic setting opposed to something like LOTR,  where there is no technology at all.  

FF7 and FF8 mixed fantasy and technology well,  though I believe FF7 did a better job.  

I dont ever want to see a FF like FF9 again

As for whether what\'s realtime and what\'s not,  it all looks good and blends together so well the non-hardcore couldn\'t tell,  and that\'s much better improvement then last generation where the CGI looked loads better then th actual game.

Oh,  and this game looks interesting.  A lead female character?  This could be a good twist.  As long as they dont make the entire lead cast female like X-2.  This game,  as with all future FF games,  has a chance to be as great as FF7,  but that depends on alot of things.  

A start would be getting Nobou Uematsu to do all the music

i agree...and another start would be for square to stop making these male lead characters....clowd & squall was alright,..but after that?.....the male lead characters sucked...
