i know everybody is blazin on about the next gen joints, but i\'m still lookin foward to this one...it looks to have the same intensity as the 1st one...and while i was hoping for a ps3 version, the original god of war had pretty strong visuals and gameplay anyway so no complaints here....

Me too. The first one was awesome and I played it through to the end. That doesn\'t happen very often now-a-days.

I figure with the PS3 6 months away (and it\'s swarm of titles I want at launch), I\'ll hold off on this and buy it later, once it\'s a greatest hit.  We\'ll have to wait and see about backwards compatibility now that it isn\'t 100% for the PS3, but I would imaging any newer games will play fine.

i\'ll take it...in the 1st gow you could perform some really impressive combo\'s...and you could pull\'em off easily...you could even create your own combos with certain button combinations,..is it a bit of a button masher?...maybe it is to an extent, but it gives you the option of wrecking havoc(on certain enemies) with your hands or with your blades,..and it achieved that task perfectly...:fro:

Heh, good luck with that. Sony was never one to quickly drop prices. Though in a year or two, when Blu Ray costs come down, they\'d be smart to do it. Even if that means they still can\'t break even on consoles.

Although, I guess the importance of doing that depends on how well it sells in the first place.

Compared to the other consoles I think Sony was the quickest one to drop prices

Sony always go for a price drop when they get the chance to. They try to be as competitive as possible ;)

They did it with the PS vs Saturn (made Sega panic at E3), then there were the price wars with PS vs N64

And they did it again to remain competitive against the XBOX.

Especially now that they are more expensive with a difference and the 360 with a 1 year head start, they will do anything to get the price down to remain competitive
