finished up 4-2 to germany.

Germany\'s defence what shite, just 1 reason why they won\'t win it.

If costa can get 2 goals against them, better teams will shit all over them.

i watched the poland game..equador\'s D completely owned them. poland had a few good runs to the goal in the second half (only saw the beginning of it since i had to work)but the defenders kept deflecting it. Was pretty fun to watch, but im an american so 2 shots to 7 at the beginning of the second half just looks damn wrong, lol. Should be 32 shots to 40 :D.

3:1 to Australia. We won despite dodgy ref decisions. Well.. that first (and only) goal to the Japs was clearly the result of bad reffing.

I was forced to watch about a half an hour today during lunch.  I almost fell asleep and got ranch dressing all over my face.

have you ever been slide-tackled in the ankles with studs? I have, it fucking hurts.

I\'m not saying a lot of them are not soft twats, they are, most notably the itallians, but if you get clocked on the ankle/shin/knee, you know about it.

my prediciton about the yanks not getting past the group stage seems to be coming to fruition, I can\'t see them beating italy. I hope they do because the italians are wankers, but I don\'t see it

you kidding me? i watched the whole italian game and only a few of them pussed out like that. I mostly see it from any south american team or mexico.

i asked my brother the same question about how they whine all the time trying to get a yellow card.

aparently, fifa are clamping down on that sort of thing, the refs have been told that if anyone goes down and gestures to the ref to issue a yellow, they should be booked instead.

Can\'t remember which match it was, but it\'s already happened, one player was fouled, he got up and ran up to the ref crying for the other player to be booked, he got booked instead. I pissed my sides laughing.

It\'s a good rule change if you ask me

PS. I\'m not kidding you, the itallians are rife for that sort of thing, more in domestic football that international, they are stereotyped as falling down if you so much as even blow on them.

You\'re right about the south americans though, they are some of the more skillful divers/frauds in the game, I recall diego simeone using all his skill to get beckham sent off in 98 for tapping him on the leg as he walked past.

For example take Manu Ginobili from the San Antonio Spurs.  Italian family apparently, but he\'s from Argentina.

in basketball, dwayne wade takes the cake for pretending to be injured. every time i see a heat game, wade is falling down, gets up and limps around with a fake face of "oo that hurt..but im so strong and determined..."..then hes running around again.

i mean..he had a damn commercial about him falling down
