There will always be controversy. If we have a four team playoff, you\'ll have team #5 which has one loss claiming it\'s as good as team #2 with one loss. This year it\'d be Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, and LSU by the BCS standings...but LSU has two losses. You don\'t think that would leave Louisville, Wisconsin, USC, Boise State, and hell, an Auburn team that beat two of those four teams crying foul? You\'re gonna have controversy no matter how you do it. Because no matter how you do it, the last team out is gonna think they shoulda been in.
The BCS has gotten it right all but three times, in my opinion. It screwed up with FSU over Miami, Nebraska over Oregon, and Oklahoma over USC. With the way the BCS is formatted right now, none of those mistakes would have been made.
And I\'m totally against a playoff system. If you want playoffs, watch the NFL. If you want a season where the playoffs start with game #1...then you can watch college football.
And as for the Rose Bowl pitting a non Pac 10 team vs. a non Big 10 team...with the current system, that shouldn\'t be such a problem. It\'s automatically Pac 10 vs. Big 10 unless one of those teams get into the BCS championship game, in which case the Rose Bowl has first choice to replace that team and can just go with another team from that conference. If it\'s not Pac-10 vs. Big Ten, the only people you can blame are the Rose Bowl representatives.
I\'m not going out and trying to prove Michigan is better. I do honestly believe they are though. Just my opinion.
And there\'s still no way the Gators have a chance
Oh, and yeah, FSU sucks
