Author Topic: I just ordered this mini RC Helicopter (Read 1557 times)

I have a friend who acquired a similar mini RC Helicopter. Every time I visit him, we end up flying it around his house.

Are any of you into this type of shenanigans? If so, do any of you have recommendations for the best brands/models?

The one I bought was only about $30 and I would love to buy another one for the office too.

that\'s cool... I recently saw another cool thing...realllyy small planes that you can fly around the living room. They showed a guy taking it off from the coffee table, flying it around the room, then landing it on the coffee table. I\'ll see if I can find a link...

I\'ve read a few online reviews of the heli I ordered. Some come right out of the box and fly smooth, some take a bit of tweaking to get the trim right, but for $30 I\'m not expecting it to be perfect.

I\'ll post a review here when it is delivered next week.

haha my bro has one. it\'s fun for about 4-5min or to entertain guests by bringing them food from the kitchen on the heli but that thing is LOUD. It annoys me after a while, but he loves it and can play with it all day if I didn\'t complain.

I got one last year and later, I also picked up the Mostquito. Mostquito flies better but is twice as expensive.

Yeah, with the 2 green eyes, I definitely like the look of the mosquito. The cost, however, is a bit more than I was ready to pay.

I wouldn\'t feel too bad if I accidentally trashed the $30 heli.

I always really sucked at driving remote control cars. I cant imagine I\'d be any better with these.

PiccoZ\'s were nearly impossible to find around the holidays. I think it\'s a better value than the skeeto. But...if you want to be as close to the likeness of those expensive RC copters as possible, the skeeto is it.

Well, I\'ve had the helicopter now for 2 days. I taped a small paperclip to the bottom of the nose to give it more forward momentum. I am so satisfied, that I ordered 2 more (there are only 3 channels) online.

Today, I was in Walmart with my wife. As I passed the toy section, I saw that they had them in stock. I grabbed one and bought it today. After I taped the paperclip to the bottom of the new one, I charged both of them and made my wife fly one while I flew the other. The one I got at Walmart vibrates a bit more than the one I ordered online. It feels like the rotor may be slightly warped.

I guess that will be the one I take in to work.

Overall, flying is easier than I thought it would be. I\'ve only had it for 2 days and I can already take off and land where I want to.

My favorite thing to do is buzz my wife\'s head.

I now have 4 of these little funbuckets. I have 3 at home to fly with friends hanging out on the weekends and 1 in my office at work.

I have had many people at work say that they are going to buy one after seeing it fly.

I need to charge up the Picco and attach a paper clip to it. I think I had that problem too.
