mass effect & too human.
« on: April 06, 2007, 09:14:45 PM »
has anybody seen pics of these games?...i\'ll admit i never hardly ever check out the 360 games on other sites, but just today i crossed over and checked out these games...i haven\'t seen the gameplay, but the visuals in these games especially mass effect are very, very strong...i love the sci-fi atmosphere in mass effect....i know i stated one system per- gen...but that 360 is putting out some quality titles, and this is comin\' from, well i don\'t consider myself a sony fanboy, but i\'am tryin\' to hang in there with them since i\'ve been with them since psx,...but i don\'t know now,.. i know for a fact that i would love gears of war, and like i said mass effect looks great.

i just can\'t do two systems tho, i feel it\'s a waste, or moreso, i\'m not into gaming like that where i need all three....maybe when ps3 starts to really get goin\' i\'ll make my decision, i think i\'ll still get a ps3, but lookin\' at some of those games at the 360 camp, is really makin\' my decision alot harder....:(....but i guess that\'s a good thing...:)

in all honesty, if your not in a rush, the ps3 is probably more worth it when the good games come out. too human definitly isnt worth buying a console for. Mass effect does look good but im not too hyped about it.

the only game im hyped over is assassins creed, which will be on both consoles anyway.

Im also in the boat of not having more than one system. Hence why i dont have a ps3, and dont plan on getting one any time soon.

edit: im also kind of excited about the tom clancy rumor of a  new series that could either mix all the series and connect them all. But thats all speculation and it just came out so i dont think the new series is coming out for a really long time.

You know what else has been there since the PSX days...Too Human\'s development.

It was suppose to be a PSX game (not PS2...the original PSX...game was suppose to be like 4 disks).

Then it got turned into a GameCube game after Nintendo signed the developer to be exclusive.

Silicon Knights got dumped and voila...now its a Xbox360 game. Kind of sad it wasn\'t in development for SNES actually. But in any event, it does sound pretty sweet lol. I remember drooling over the idea when it was a PSX...then was excited when it was a GameCube game...now...still looks pretty. I\'ll give it that!

Xbox360 has impressive shooters...but there are better ones on PC so that\'ll negate my only reason to ever buy one.

Apparently Too Human is the most expensive game ever made too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Too_Human
Better buy 3 copies.

Too Human has been around in development forever. I\'m not sure I care for the gameplay style they\'ve chosen, but Silicon Knights are passionate developers and it will be a great game if that\'s your style. Look for hot graphics and an interesting storyline with enough in-game references and inspirations to keep you interested enough to research the game online, even when you\'re not playing it...

Mass Effect... I think I read a preview earlier that dumped a fair amount of hype on it. Some kind of RPG next-coming.

But it looked boring in the pictures.

I absolutely loved Blood Omen.  Thats the last Silicon Knights game I\'ve played though (It was for PSX).  Too human looks cool, who knows how it\'ll play out though.

this last pic of too human looks alright, but knowadays it\'s hard to tell if these shots are super-imposed ingame engine cinemas or what...still, here i just like the small details seen in the suit...again i\'m not sure how either of these games play, i just like the sci-fi look to them...

I think these shots are in-game. Either cinemas or even possibly gameplay.

Why? Well, the game chugged (10-15fps) in the trailer... and this level of graphical clarity would be a good reason why.

i\'am really feelin\' this game *mass effect* the first clip is only a cutscene, but it looks great, the second clip shows some of the gameplay...i like sci-fi third person shooters like this...the 360 has two games so-far that i really want...gears of war and mass effect...

Mass effect indeed looks like a very strong game, bioware never seems to usually be on target with their games.  If it doesn\'t get ported to the PC in the near future I think it might finally persuade me to buy a 360.

Mass effect is promising in every way visually and in gameply.

Too Human I am not so sure about. I am not that impressed with it and the latest videos shown dont depict a very promising gameplay.

imo those screen the ppl look great but their surroundings are quite lacking and bland in color and detail - which isnt amazing feat for me

altho im sure there will be many other worlds with great detail i havent really kept up with the game due to no 360 just yet - waiting for more significant price drop
