Dude.....

I\'ve been in the market for one for about 8 months and I\'ve done a TON of research.

The thought of an electronic kit is blasphemy to me, but living in an apt I have no other option.... I need to practice.

It really depends on how much money you want to spend.

Heres the one I\'m leaning towards - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Roland-TD3SW-VCompact-Electronic-Drum-Set?sku=449934

Heres the one I really want - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Yamaha-DTXTREME-IIS-Electronic-Drum-Set?sku=445332

And heres the grandaddy - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Roland-TD20S-VPro-Electronic-Drum-Set?sku=449927

elect kits? there\'s nothing wrong with them for keepiin up yer chops. I want one for the basement studio. I\'ll keep a real hi hat and cymabls around for realism, but for laying down beats, especially if yer recording to a midi based prog, do it up. if you have a comp based recording setup, you can go cheap, and switch samples later.

In my experience "test driving" them, I\'ve enjoyed Yamahas.
