they should have made it a countrywide competition for school kids, every school in britain gets their kids to create a logo for the olympics, then each school would pick out one winner from their entrants, they would forward it onto a national competition judged by an impartial comittee, who has nothing to do with the british olympic bid
they would choose the overall winner, then it would be professionally rendered by a graphic design company.
it would cost a hell of a lot less than £400K, and I\'d bet sammy\'s arse that it would look better too, and the winning school could win a financial award for new equipment or something.
