my guess is universal signed a contract, or HD-DVD offered them a good amount of money.

I wanted HD-DVD to win just because its cheaper and they both look the same to me but iv always felt blu-ray would win if DVD\'s ever get replaced.

Another blow for HD-DVD. I reaaaaally hope Blu-ray will win soon (but not too soon since I just got my HD-DVD drive ;)).

I don\'t really believe in HD-DVD as a format, but I\'m craving HD content and since MS closed off Live movies for non-Americans (bastards), my only HD source is now HD-DVD. I only chose it because I already have the Xbox 360 and I don\'t want to shell out 500 smackaroos for a HD player at this point. Besides there are a few exclusive HD-DVD movies that I like.

But in a year or so I\'ll probably get a proper Blu-ray player.
