I\'ve yet to understand how personal feelings can outrank winning games. Granted marty had a hard time winning in the playoffs, but playing great teams like the colts and the patriots, it gets pretty difficult to win in those situations.

you cant get much better than 14-2 er whatever they were, and they were definitly doing better in the playoffs as they progressed..and to erase all that because the owner didnt like the guy is beyond words

Note from Turner...

I\'d like to thank the kicker for Indy, as he saved my job tonight.

Thanks!

Random Thoughts on the NFL::

I\'ll laugh my ass off if Grossman gets back his starter job after being benched. It looks like Griese has a shoulder injury and Grossman did rally the Bears this weekend.

While on the topic of QB\'s and being benched - I see ESPN has a headline that says Mcnair may be benched due to shoulder.  Shouldn\'t it read that Mcnair may be benched due to poor play? I mean come on, you know the Raven\'s are sitting there and cussing under their breath for picking up a QB who has been beaten to death during his career.

As long as T.O is part of Dallas, I refuse to support them in any manner.  Fact is, if they would get rid of him, I\'d love to see them make it somewhere, but as long as that jackass is part of the roster, I can\'t stomach them.  He\'s a parasite that should be elminated from the NFL.

On the Colts front, it doesn\'t look good. They had seven starters out lastnight and now they have even more hurt.  Sure a few of those may be back by next week, but it looks like Harrison won\'t and Freeney is doubtful. Only bright side is they picked up Rice from Denver, but I would question how productive he can be for the team, after coming off a shoulder surgery. On an actual good note, the Colts are going to play the Chiefs Sunday and the Chiefs will be starting a new QB. Should be an easy win to get their feet back under them.

Speaking of KC, did anyone actually think that Haurd could be a starting QB? The man was a career backup for a good reason... He sucked. Granted, Trent Green wasn\'t exactly stellar and this Croyle boy doesn\'t give KC fans much hope, but come on, I would of thought that KC would of TRIED to pick someone up other than just giving Haurd the starter job.  What a wasted season. Here is an idea for KC during the offseason, trade up, get a damn good draft pick and get a QB.  They held onto Trent Green for way too long and never looked towards the future and now they\'ve screwed themselves over in the QB position.

Oh and one more thing. Anyone want to take a bet that Miami does go 0-16? Hell, I\'d wager to beat they go 0-16 and then make a useless draft choice. It\'s just Miami style, baby.

The reason im not that worried about indy is because it was only their special teams that let them down. Granted manning had a horrific game, but it\'s safe to assume he\'s not going to be throwing 6 int\'s again any time soon. And even though the coach sucks, containing gates, LT, and chambers the way they did was impressive.

The fact that the guys that were on special teams aren\'t because they\'re now the ones playing and cant afford getting hurt is what\'s killing them. Sproles is fast...that\'s it. He doesn\'t juke, so if you suck at special teams and take a bad angle, he\'s gone. But that seems easier to correct than offense or defense

I\'ll continue to be worried about INDY as long as they have enough starters hurt that causes them to huddle. I mean, when is the last time you seen Indy huddle up? It was painfully obvious that the team was out of sync, due to the simple fact they was missing key players.   This hurt them more on the offensive side, obviously (look at Manning\'s 6 INT\'s). But still,  if they don\'t get the players healthy and keep them healthy, they can kiss a good postseason goodbye.

^^^excuses excuses...;)....tru enough the colts are seriously hurtin, when i saw that one wide reciever (anthony gonzalez)..*spel*...got hurt i knew that they were going to be in trouble, i hear that they were even startin\' third stringers...that is bad....but for some reason i\'m not worried about about indy, if they even get a couple of their guys back, i think it\'ll change a few defensive schemes of any opposing team...

The announcers in their last game said that their team is barely held together with glue and paste. Yet....they managed to almost beat a bad (record wise)team. :laughing:

yea, i definitly know what you mean. Im just annoyed with how much the broncos are lagging because of their injuries, while the colts can still beat the chargers (they shouldve..). Their offense had so much potential, but they cant do sh*t to get in the endzone...

and i have no hope for their D-line. Dumervil is the only one doing anything, but that\'s only pass rushing. Their LB\'s are there for pass defense and sweeps, not really up the middle runs, which they leave up to the d-line to do most of the damage...tried bringing in veterans, failed..tried drafting like 50 d-line rookies, failed.

No excuses here, they played piss poor the 5th Quarter against NE and deserved to win.  The game against SD was another thing altogether tho\'. The team was riddled with injuries and was obviously struggling and still managed to come back on SD.
