Are you kidding? Your saying that if a quarterback sucks as a rookie, he always sucks?

Like I said... He hasn\'t played one snap since he was a rookie THREE YEARS AGO!

I won\'t say that every single qb that sucks as a rookie always sucks, but c\'mon..you can tell which ones dont have it..and orton doesn\'t have it. The ones that always suck are in the majority right now, so the odds are againts him as well.

edit: i guess ill list out my examples instead of just claiming something...
losman, the dolphins many tries, boller, carr, orton, grossman, harrington, jackson, leinart, alex smith. And that\'s the very recent..there\'s probably more but i cant think of them off the top of my head.

The ones that turned out good, were good/showed promise from the beginning. manning, brady, palmer, roethlis..garrard even showed promise as a backup and is working out as a starter..now im just getting lazy but you get my point

I\'m not even going to bother to show all the stats that prove it, but judging a quarterback by his rookie season is completely asinine.

I\'m not saying Orton is gonna be great, or even good, I\'m just saying you can\'t take a college QB, play them nine games their rookie year and say he sucks.

I already know im not going to beat you..my dad\'s from chicago, is a bears fan, and wants orton to play..i know how the arguement goes

orton will not amount to anything in the nfl, and didnt show an ounce of not sucking in his 9 starts. He shouldn\'t even be an option for bears fans. Theyll be better off with griese and grossman till they get a new qb

It\'s funny if the Bears D didn\'t have so many injuries they might actually have won a few more games by now. The Bears offense sucks so bad its not even funny. Well Carson Palmer had a shitty year as a rookie :P Look at him now :) I think what Viper is trying to say is you can just tell if a quarterback has it, it just doesn\'t one day click aka Ryan Leaf. Now I know there are the rare few that it may happen for them, look at Romo, his first few games he played in he just fking blew big Tuna balls, but look at him now.

My whole thing here is that you just don\'t know...

Kurt Warner got cut by how many teams? Comes back 5 years later and wins MVP two years in a row.

You just don\'t know with quarterbacks.

Orton is worth a shot, now that the seasons over.

Fuckin\' Steelers lost again? Ugh...

But the Jets are actually a decent team. Other than playing against the Pats, they\'ve managed to keep their games competitive. Their record doesn\'t represent how good they really are.

I think Rex has proven he isn\'t a NFL QB. He proved that last season with his throw away Green Bay game. No quarterback in the NFL should perform like that and then, as an excuse say they had other things on their mind, other than the game. He proved right then, he isn\'t able to lead a team.

I\'ve seen Brett do far worse that Rex. But Rex is no Brett Fa...var...ruh. Favre?

Rex is my guy.... I still have faith in him.

It\'s blind faith, mind you, but faith nonetheless.

On the other hand, Brett can still turn the tides in a game and can lead a team. Rex apparently can\'t.

I will say this, if the Packers had a running game, they would be deadly this year. As it is, once it gets playoff time, I think their one dimensional offense will hurt them.

riiight...keep tellin yourself that...;)...j/k...it\'s true the jets really aren\'t that bad a team,..i\'ve seen them get leads early on teams, only to lose them in the 2nd half...My boys won, but they did have me concerned a bit there with washington,..and what was up with those high snaps?....and is anybody going to be able to shut down the pats?...with the way the bills have been comin on lately, i would\'ve thought that they would\'ve got up in that ass, but instead they got that ass whooped....it seems like if the pats lose a game, it will only be because THEY want to,...that is how good they are playin\'...

I wanted the Browns to be so far behind the Steelers for the Playoff contention that there was no question which would have home field advantage. It\'s all moot though for the AFC. The road to the Superbowl is through the Patriots\' home turf.
