Who\'s getting Halo (halo 2 spoilers...)

I was figuring in not getting it, but after being bored with nhl 08 in a week, i decided what the hell. Traded it in for 30 bucks, so i basically got my week full of nhl for free and got halo at full price.

Im in the group that really doesn\'t see the big deal with halo. It\'s alright, but doesnt seem like anything special. The only thing im excited about is that you can mute people easily so the annoying ball-less kids tha play halo will be easy to mute and getting to enjoy the game.

My main problem with halo is that i suck,lol. If i start shooting at someone point blank, and they have the same gun and start shooting at me second, I ALWAYS die no matter how hard im laying into him. Just gets frusterating to get 8 kills for every 15 deaths

not sure whether to get it tomorrow at midnight or not. I need to study, but if i finish i might drop by since the chick gave me a pre-order when she wasn\'t supposed to. I just wanted the extra 20% on the trade in..didnt NEED the game tomorrow since im not dieing for it

edit: For those that bought halo 2, I never played it but i watched a quick review thing and I was confused with 3 things:

1) What do the prophets think the halo weapon does that they think its so great?

2) What does it really do that master chief and the other dude are stopping them

3) what was the big thing in the water that was holding master chief and the other guy?

imgetting it, but i more looking forward to playing the story co op.. never played halo online... but not sure i will like it... prefer rainbow 6, graw, where i can shoot peep in the head

will pick it up used, just for the online co-op

Halo sucks. If I want to play single player, I have HL2 - Episode 1 & 2, if I want multi-player, I have the excellent TF2.

I might get it eventually, but it\'ll have to be cheap. I\'ve tried both Halo I and II, and neither was to my taste.

yea. only reason I bought it was to get the extra 20% on my nhl 08 trade-in. Outside of halo, the next game im getting is november (call of duty4, assassins creed, and maybe mass effect)

by november, nhl\'s value wll probably be like 15 bucks instead of 25.

i heard that. but i heard its more just something you have to get used to. obviously if its difficult, the first reviews are going to be that the controls suck since they only have a short time to play on top of it being their first time playing it.

there are a lot of good games coming out in the coming months, but the game I´m most hyped about is eternal sonata! It looks so fucking awesome and I love playing chopin´s music on my piano. Halo... ehrm... I was never a fan of the first two yet somehow I´m tempted to try this one out too.

other games I´m looking out for include:
call of duty 4 (obviously)
lost odyssey
ace combat 6
maybe some others I can´t think of right now

i saw some quick combat gameplay of the game, and it seems a bit prince of persia-ish,...as far as the controls are concerned, i hope they can tighten it up a bit, but i think the reason the controls are a bit off is more because of the camera work. But seeing some of how the game actually plays, i\'m not as excited as i once was about it....it should still be a great game...

was studying last night and decided to drop by for the midnight release..obviously waited 20 minutes for the crowd to leave.

The game\'s pretty much exactly what ud expect..but prettier enviornments. I ended up playing coop with a friend and another guy till 4am, but had to leave because i didnt feel like wasting my time in class falling asleep. yet to do adversarial but it just seems like halo 2 to me..figuring i havent bought a halo before its not a big deal.

Any updates?  They had this in our game room at work and all I could think of was *drumroll* Halo 2.5.  Just updated graphics with the same shitty textures.  Granted this was MP, and a map from Halo 2, but damn!  I\'ll NEVER understand why people go so gah-gah over annoying ass Halo MP.

I\'m sure the single player though will be awesome.  4-person online co-op?  fuhget about it

played some adversarial today..but got frusterated. I swear to god, if i shoot someone with a shotgun first, all that happens is they lose their shield. But if the dude turns around and shoots me with the shotgun (since it takes a bit to shoot a second time) i die EVERY damn time. had the same bullshit in the past halos with every gun.

i think the textures look good, especially water..and explosions are a lot better. The characters arent as good as they probably should, but it does generally look like halo 2.5.

and i cant aim a sniper rifle with a joystick worth shit. if they can make a keyboard plugable into the damn controller, you\'d think they\'d have a usb mouse. Sales would be huge, and it could be MS specific like everything else so people have to buy it.

character customization is actually pretty diverse too. There\'s unlockable stuff to work towards that look pretty cool.
