Yeah. It seems that we share a lot in common with other civilizations like India, probably due to our Indo-European roots.
There are similarities even in religion (see 12 Gods) and philosophies.
The Nazi\'s apparently also knew the Indo-European roots of their ancestors (if they are indeed true), took elements from ancient history and other ancient civilizations, gave them a twist, used them to promote pride and nationalism and voila. We get a twisted form of history.
The Swastika today is misunderstood. But it doesnt end up here. I know people in my country who worship the Nazi\'s. Some of them are right-wing fanatics. Others are confusing the original history of the Aryan and Indo European race with the Nazis\' motives and propaganda, and recognize a non-existing deeper meaning in them often having to do with the national pride. Simply because we Greeks also share similar characteristics in history the Nazi\'s chose.
There are even books written and sold in bookstores that give Nazis a better face, that they are excused and stupid idiotic stuff like that. Indeed Germans did pass through lots of misery and many things are today exaggerated because the winners of war wrote history as they wanted, but jeez these books are idiotic at best still. They are worse at trying to fool people. And I am sure its because of such books that today there are many neo-nazis, skinheads etc. They are often written by former Nazi officers, extreme right wing writers (German and non German), or people who participated in the Nazi government.
How can you trust them?
