Sharpton?....i like the fact that he\'s basically the only guy that will stand up and put s**t together when racial unjustice goes down, but he just hops on too many black/white issues....Once he starts to speak out on black on black crime and some of those lyrics that some rappers talk about on the reg that he is against,..then maybe i\'ll have a bit more respect for him....
I was watching the bet awards some time ago and this was around the time T.I. was busted for purchasing guns in a walmart parking lot....just about every celeb that spoke on the podium said s**t like...yo, this is for T.I. and s**t like they\'re tryin to bring us down bur we will never be quiet...:rolleyes:...uhm no...how about addressing the fact that T.I. was wrong as hell for tryin to purchase guns when he already had like several in his crib?...sheeit i didn\'t feel sorry for him in the least amount...all that money and his dumbass still can\'t leave the hood alone...
But everybody on the show was basically supportin T.I. and shortly after that lil wayne performed and while he did rip it, most of his lyrics ranged from killing other afri. americans to the drug game to his red bandana that he has hangin outta his back pocket....s**t was just hypocritcal all over the place...then black folk wonder why white folk are always sayin\' s**t and clowin\' on them,...once you gain some type of self-respect, maybe some of that nonsense will stop...
I still have luv for my peeps but there are issues here that really need to be addressed,...and i don\'t care if it is part of the rap culture,...to call women bitches and hoes and to call other afri. american nigga should be condemned across the board...it makes no sense for it to only be ok for "us" to say it, but when white folk say it, the same women and men that don\'t mind bein\' called that are in an uproar over it....that is stupidity on the highest level....
