Even before the PC version released, rumours of a PS3 conversion of the stunning Crysis (developed by Far Cry creators Crytek) were rife, and not far off the mark if insiders at the studio are to be believed. The game looks to be a port of the PC original plus some extra modes and features, a kind of Crysis 1.5. Like the PC game you can expect a visual powerhouse; an open-world shooter that begins on a beautiful tropical island before things take a turn for the worse and aliens from a parallel world stake a claim on Earth. Only the mighty Killzone 2 could possibly hold a candle to this shooter. For technical reasons we hear an Xbox 360 version of Crysis isn’t in development. Bet you’re glad you bought a PS3 now, eh?

ill believe it when i see it and its not just rumors..swear ps3 people would cling to a piece of shit if it talked well of the ps3

anyway, i heard consoles in general were all getting crysis, but a whole different version that isnt as demanding. Im expecting something like bioshock where it\'s linear with some deviations.

either way its probably going to take like 5 years for it to get on console

The game sucks. I\'ve played it on my PC and ..well, the game just plain sucks.

Not surprised tho\'. Am surprised that it isn\'t coming to every console, including the Nintendo DS.

I thought it was a well established point that the PS3 had far more horsepower than the 360?  I mean it did come out a full year later.

Call me when the good games that the 360 can\'t handle start coming out.

Not impossible, I just disliked Crysis on the PC. Go back and find the thread about it before someone accuses me of threadcrapping it because it\'s coming to the PS3.

It does kind of suck, but it reminded me of a poor man\'s Max Payne so plus 1 for that.

Well I dont see anything like it out there or in the pipe. Prove it by doing it or else you could say the same thing for PS2.
