Iraq...

This is just a little tidbit about what\'s going on in Iraq...

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/04/03/iraq.alsadr/index.html

"A senior Iraqi official said that more than 1,000 Iraqi soldiers deserted in Basra and other hot spots during the fighting. There were others who simply took off their uniforms and joined the Shiite militias the army was battling, the official said."

^^^i think that this is rather disturbing,...you send the iraqi army into these hotspots to get rid of the militias, and over 1000 soldiers just up and desert the mission?,....then some soldiers takin\' off their unforms and joining the militias themselves?...the u.s. is just wasting their time over there....i\'ve seen videos of the iraqi police force jumping up and down and celebrating with these militias while firing their AK\'s up in the air,...bush really has the u.s. hands tied here....i really want us to leave, but i know in reality we can\'t....cause iraq will turn into even more of a chaotic mess than it already is....and i guess once that 600 million dollar u.s. embassy is finally finished over there,...the insurgents or militias or whatever will just use that thing for target practice....

The sad thing is that some soldiers actually feel like that they are doing the right thing being there, when in actuality, it couldn\'t be further from the truth,...the war was wrong from the jump,...maybe one day iraq will become a somewhat stable country,..but by that time the u.s. will have a paid a heavy cost than it is already paying now with soldiers lives and financially...

Billion dollar embassy.

 We have done what we can do unless they plan on going back to full scale, we are not really doing much at all to clear out insurgency. It almost seems half assed in the sense that we have so many skilled troops and they do not seem to be making a dent one way or the other.

I say sweep and clear...give them some sort of infrastructure and get the fuck out. Just seems as if that is 5 years too late.

Well Malmö is not far from Berlin. Perhaps a few raids with Saab 18 and we might have gotten lucky bombing Hitler? :thumb:

Yup, cause Europe has such a stellar history of peace and standing up to tyranny...

...oh wait

Asshat...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Hot chicks and long wangs? :D

Sweden = shaft
Finland = balls

We get all the pleasure. :gfight:

Just so you know, that comment was a joke. But I knew our most flag-waving posters would fall for it. So no need to bash my country as I like yours (though not its money-grubbing elite), lets face it.. you dont know anything about it besides meatballs and hot chicks. :)

"Duuurrrr, I\'m a stupid American who thinks Europe is a country..."

No shit its a continent but its practically a country the way you have a UNION...

And don\'t even try to bring up stupid shit like America is nothing but a bunch of warmongers unless you wanna compare our histories...

Unfair to lump you in with the Nazis and Fascist Italy?

Then don\'t lump me and my fellow citizens with Bush and co...

Have a nice day...

Not at all. Each nation is self governing. The union is mostly economical, a majority of the europeans do not want a United States of Europe, thats one of the reasons we voted down the Euro.

I am well aware we started some shit, but that was 200+ years ago. Pfft. ;)

It is understandable to be angry at the "rich elitists", when your women run down to the south of France every winter to get boned by them.

Seriously though, I know Swedes hate any show of wealth, but doesn\'t being the same as everyone else get boring?  Is it true that most of the population is in a drunken stupor most of the time to drown their misery?
