I finally picked this up,...i was actually going to pick up dark sector, but after hearing the lukewarm reviews of that title,...i\'m just going to wait for mgs and alone in the dark...i might pick up gta 4...if it\'s any good,....i never played the first obscure, and i was going to fire up indigo prophecy again right before i heard this game dropped...
The game isn\'t that bad, but for $20.00 i guess you can say it\'s pretty decent,..the dialogue is pretty cheesy, but i think they did that on purpose since the whole game revolves around your sterotypical college kids partying and tryin\' to survive some type of flower virus that turns students into monsters. I like the fact that two people can play this game and that a second player can come in at any time and play.
The game itself doesn\'t look bad and again for $20.00 it\'s pretty decent. The soundtrack is actually pretty good and gives the game a decent atmospheric theme. One other thing that i kinda like about this game is that even tho it\'s a third person view type of game, it doesn\'t seem to use that over the shoulder view that\'s currently being overdone in alot of games today, so it\'s kinda good to see them go with the tradional 3rd person views.
Only hiccups that i can complain about in the game is that the combat is a bit wonky, it really just doesn\'t feel right, at least the melee part of it, and there were two puzzles in the game that had me stumped... one involved two medallions and the other was an elevator puzzle...and the save system in this game is kinda dumb,..you only have like one opportunity to save between long stretches and if you die, you have to go all the way back to that save point....damn i don\'t want to write a book,...but if you need a survival horror fix, this game isn\'t the greatest, but for 20 bucks i don\'t think you can go wrong...
