I have reason too but havent managed it yet. You are doing a great job with it I see.
personally I use FL Studio. For many it seems like a "toy" but is an awesome sequencer. You can rewire almost any music program (including reason) and any VSTi you want with it making it an awesome flexible tool.
I recently got FL 8 and the demos in it show crazy stuff that I havent figured out yet how to exploit but it seems much more user friendly and offers much more room to develop the program itself and your music. I get very nice results so far.
I highly recommend it to you. I believe you will do even more awesome things with it once you get more flexibility and the chance to combine reason, FL studio, Cubase and other virtual instruments.
