I could\'ve swore i created a thread concerning this game already,..oh well....this game is lookin\' good....i\'m not a big fan of EA but this is one slick trailer...and anything "survival horror"..i\'am all over it...i just hope EA doesn\'t ruin this thing like in the way they ruined Army of Two...that game had the potential to be great, only to be incredibly mediorce....

looks like a rent, nothing more.

EA isn\'t as bad as you\'re making them sound. the problem is EA sports have to put out games every single year, and people lump the whole company in one ball. army of two sucked because the developers made a skimpy game..the agro idea was decent though.

people are afraid of what EA will do to gta if they get a hold of the company, but people already bitch about how bad gta 4 is compared to what it should...consumers are weird

but i am excited about E3 next week.

I just started playin\' this game and i gotta say, EA absolutely impressed me with this title...seriously..this game is a work of art...yes the scares are of the "in your face and shocking type" but it does it incredibly well...the graphics and lighting is absolutely amazing. I can honestly say that i truly felt like i was on an inter-stellar ship...the corridors while some may say look repeatitive looks amazing...and the real-time interface was really a nice touch.

The monsters are like the creatures that are within the movie "the thing" and while the missions do have back-tracking to various parts of the ship, it really does make sense in relation to what is going on and i don\'t mind it one bit...if you\'re a survival horror nut like myself....i highly recommend this one...i haven\'t finished it yet, but i\'m sure i won\'t have any complaints....the game is polished from top to bottom..EA has something very special here...they really caught off guard with this one. Especially since i think alot of EA games are extremely shallow.

I applause EA for letting this team be creative and not interviening to water down the game...i purchased dead space and silent hill at the same time, and while i did like SH, i knew right off the bat when i first started playing dead space, that it was a more engaging experience...great game..:fro:

I\'ve been wanting to get an adult game.  I\'m stuck in the world of Lego Batman and LBP.

I completed this game on the Xbox 360, and I\'m working on my second playthrough to pick up most of the remaining achievements.

It is really quite an amazing game.  Yes, its like many action/horror games; go here, do this, kill everything in your path...  but the overall quality and visual style is way beyond most other games.  It\'s even superior to Fallout 3 in realism and believability.  There\'s really no comedy in this story, with the exception of a few nutty movie posters on the walls in the crew\'s quarters.  Dead Space is just dark, heavy and a little depressing.  On my first playthrough, I got the distinct impression that all these characters were doomed, including Isaac Clarke, the main character.  I won\'t reveal the ending of course.

By the way, I\'m sure most of you noticed that the protagonist\'s name is composed of two of the greatest Sci Fi authors of all time; Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke.  No great secret I\'m sure.

If you haven\'t experienced it, you should give this game a try.  I got it for $35 on Amazon.com.  Well worth it.

such an intense game. I was too young to enjoy older games like RE1 and 2 (i was a pussy kid) so this is my first real survival horror.

some of the best ambiance sounds in a game...hopefully its beatable in a rent

You should be able to beat it viper, but i think that this is a game you should purchase.....alot of times throughout the game i found myself just looking at some of the artwork...especially the part where you can look out into space and all you can hear is issac\'s breathing.

It really is one of the better if not the best horror game this gen....yes i know people are jerkin\' off to RE5, and while RE5 is good, dead space doesn\'t have none of that silly dialogue that\'s found in RE or none of that fearless bravado. The folks in dead space are actualy trying to survive the nightmare aboard the ship and the atmosphere in certain parts of the game was just incredible.

fantastic game all around, first time I played it I was alone in a big house, in the middle of the night, dark as hell. It seriously scared the fuck out of me. I was playing it and then I just paused and looked around I was honestly just spooked as hell.

There\'s a prequel comic and a movie that are awesome, the movie ends right where the game begins. Can\'t wait for the sequel, it has the kind of story where you just have to know more.

im loving the surround sound. Was shooting at one guy in the distance charging towards me and i heard someone creeping up behind me..was like "oh shit oh shit oh shit" haha. the guns are pretty booming too

i watched the beginning of the movie..didnt really give it a chance since I was bored when i did the instant watch on netflix. is the comic like a short comic or is it a graphic novel?

it\'s a graphic novel, there was a nifty version on Xbox live where the comic had voice actors.

I\'m playing through this on the "Impossible" difficulty setting right now. It almost becomes a different game when you up the difficulty. It was scary to begin with, but then when you have to carefully monitor your ammunition, and you\'re back to not having your rig and weapons fully upgraded, it becomes even more frightening.

It\'s one of those games that would make for a fantastic movie, along with Bioshock.
