i don\'t know, according to the history. Out of all the European nations, it seems like British people, or the English people has the most success of conquering other countries than compare to other nations or ethnicity.
Look how many countries speak English and use it as the primary language. Even some countries that doesn\'t have English as the primary language, these countries make it as the 2nd mandatory language. And the countries that uses their native language also believe learning optional language of English would make them more successful at doing international businesses than any other languages. English is consider the universal language.
I think in America, the English in the end won the battle against other Europeans such as French, German, and Spanish. So, I guess the winner takes all and they decided to use English as the primary language in U.S.A. Even the territory that the Spanish once conquered were either lost to the English or sold to English...
Beside America that uses English as the primary language, there are other countries too like Australia. I don\'t know much about Australia\'s history though. So is South Africa that uses English as the primary language. I think Canada also uses English beside the French language. Not sure which is primary and which is secondary though.
Even Hong Kong that rented to the British for 100 years before it was returned back to China has a lot of refugees, especially Chinese immigrants coming over for freedom and strong economy.
I think Japan was helped by the British on military training and weaponry that later makes the Japanese so cocky that they invaded China and conquer it for a brief moment. Then they gets so cocky that they try to take over U.S.A. by attacking on Pearl Harbor. Thankfully they failed there and became a free country with limited military soldiers, and become ally with America, and they make trade with U.S.A. too. So was Germany that failed at conquering other European countries and was limited in soldiers too and become a free country.
I even met a German American who is an English teacher that pretended to act like he\'s English descendant makes me wonder maybe the English might be better than the German?
Forgive my broken English though.
