Thomas Friedman address global warming
« on: September 25, 2008, 09:48:04 AM »
This is a boring interview until Thomas goes off near the end, saying what he would say if he were a Senator under attack for wanting to invest in alternative energy sources. It\'s worth skipping ahead to that part at about 7:27. Awesome.

If someone could embed that, I dunno how.

yeah, i seen this interview on tv.  i thought it was interesting when he said global warming could affect the world badly as early as 2012.  they thought it could be in the 2050, then 2040, then now some predicts it could be as soon as 2012.

i don\'t know, embedding doesn\'t work.

hey, that\'s what he said.  Not me, doesn\'t mean I have to agree or disagree with what he said because I don\'t know.

Forget about that, how about the non-mythical, finite amount of oil left in the earth, and where most of it is located. Investing in our country becoming a leader of the next mass energy source is a way to keep the U.S. economy relevant in the nearing future.

We have nothing left to give the world, this would be so huge for America.

Thats it...

Theres no doubt something is happening that is making the planet warm up... The thing is nobody knows whats causing it. There is really no proof that it is being caused by people.

Al Gore gets alot of attention for his theory that it\'s caused by people, but thats all it is. A THEORY!

It\'s a good theory that\'s supported by evidence.  Show me a better theory.

The only point I was making is that Gore\'s theory is just that, a theory.

You know Jar is right.... There are more cows on the planet now then ever before in history, so cow farts must be causing it.

There... Another theory.
