Post-Election Thoughts
« on: November 05, 2008, 05:34:38 AM »
Hey, I woke up today, and the Earth was still spinning.

In all seriousness though, I\'ve joked, bickered, and argued with several members here during election season and made a lot of controversial comments.  Just wanted to let you guys know I hold no ill will towards you.  Truth be told, my candidate (Ron Paul) was never even in the race and thus I just was offering an opinion from the other side of the spectrum.

At the end of the day I am still an American, and no less proud to be one.  The best thing to do from here is just deal with it and hope for the best.  If Obama holds true on his promises my life will be better off, and so I hope for that.

Best of luck to Obama during his Presidency.  I will give him the same support I gave Bush and Clinton (I was too young to remember Reagan & Bush Sr. presidencies).  I hope my fellow Republicans follow suit.

Be proud, be American.

On a side note, McCain is one classy mofo! Anyone catch his speech?

Giga may not share my views.  I am first and foremost a Republican with Libertarian leanings, and I did my part to help the Republicans.  Hopefully they saw the error in their ways and nominate a true conservative in 2012.  McCain was a good choice in 2007 when Iraq was what people were most concerned about, but when economy became the focal point in 2008, the GOP should have rallied behind Paul, not dismiss him.  Romney would have been a great choice as well.

This is a giant "I told you so" to all the Republicans who disagreed with me during primary season.

Live and learn though.

At least Al Franken didn\'t win.  The golden age of America is officially over.  I hate to say this Kennedy, but Paul is a fringe candidate.

Not the case.  The neoconservative movement is over.

The GOP is reorganizing itself as we speak.  Hopefully this will result in a movement back towards Reagan/Goldwater conservatism, libertarianism, and classic virtues instilled by the founding fathers.

This is merely the darkness before the dawn, just you wait and see.

Errr. Biden looks like an Oompa Loomp and Michelle... well lets just say that picture of her is not the most flattering.

I agree with with what you say, but Paul isn\'t the man.

I think we can safely say McCain is out of the picture now.

I would say the short list of 2012 candidates includes Romney, Paul, and Palin. I really do believe the GOP is going to undergo a change, so don\'t write off Paul yet.  He is starting to get up there in age, so I could be wrong.

Ron would have won. He was the man who could have really put the Repubs back on top like Reagan did.

I\'ll be very surprised if anyone will beat Obama in 2012, unless a major screw up happens.

Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.
