Uhm.. West IS one of the major players in the game and has been for a long time. His production skills far outweigh his rapping skills, but the guy has been around for a long time before releasing his own albums.

Maybe he is,....and while i do listen to alot of the rap/ r&b artists of today, i still think alot of it is mediorce....i\'m old school..i like alot of the stuff that came out in the late 90\'s - 03/04.....i think alot of the rap artists of today would get hammered by the likes of KRS-1, NAS, Rakim, EPMD, A Tribe called quest...that was some quality music back then.
