Its interesting that Sony just launched a new ps3 model that has 160 GBytes HDD with the game Uncharted: Drake\'s Fortune combo for $499. It also has free PSN membership, whatever that means.
I think it\'s better that Sony just sell the $399 80 Gbytes and be done with it. Not sure if consumers are willing to spend $500 for the PS3 when many still consider the $400 version expensive. Sure, its still a good deal, but still out of reach for many consumers pockets.
I am not sure if the average consumers would want that 160 Gbytes when 80 Gbytes is really good enough storage for most cases I think.
the PS2 is still selling $129.99 since March 2006 I think. Its funny that it has been over 2 1/2 years and the PS2 still hasn\'t drop in price tag at all.
Maybe Sony\'s planning on dropping the price of the 80 Gbytes PS3 to $300 somewhere in 2009 since they just reduced it to $400 3 months ago. But who knows for sure.
