Why are you getting a high contrast screen? Are there windows in the room? Seems like you would just need matt white for your application.

Haven\'t started construction yet. The theater will be in the basement with no windows. Have no clue about screens. I know we told the designer that the screen will also be used for video games like Guitar Hero World Tour where there will be some lighting used.

you can go to da-lite and they actually have a sequence of questions you go through to find the right screen. The mark up on screens is incredible and to be honest if you have a windowless room, freaking a white wall will look awesome. There is actually a fabric at Joann fabrics that you can get that apparently a lot of people are using. I can\'t do it because my screen is too big, but it might be a good option. I mean heck, if you can save a grand or two here you can dump more money on speakers.

Well, it\'s done deal already. The only thing we can change is the color of the walls and the Blu Ray player. All the equipment is pretty much set.

BTW, what blu ray player are you going for? Samsung is not my type. The lack of updates and issues with new BR movies not working with them makes me cringe.

I\'m just using my PS3 for now. I can\'t see buying a new Blue Ray player when the PS3 works great. Plus I am going to have it in there anyway.

I\'m not going to be able to get the screen, projector, amps and speakers for a while though. I\'m mainly working on this project to get my office upstairs.
