Your fav movie of 2008 that wasn\'t The Dark Knight
« on: February 05, 2009, 09:05:27 AM »

Great film from sweden. I almost feel bad for downloading it. Heres a quick blurb about its plot from IMDB

Oskar, a bullied 12-year old, dreams of revenge. He falls in love with Eli, a peculiar girl. She can\'t stand the sun or food and to come into a room she needs to be invited. Eli gives Oskar the strength to hit back but when he realizes that Eli needs to drink other peoples blood to live he\'s faced with a choice. How much can love forgive? Let The Right One In is a story both violent and highly romantic, set in the Stockholm suburb of Blackeberg in 1982.

I only heard about this movie from word of mouth. Originally thought it was something I wouldn\'t care about but I was wrong. Check it out.

Whats your fav movie of 2008 that didn\'t make almost 1b$?

Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Don\'t bother. You\'re a slow reader. You\'ll never keep up with the subtitles. ;)

I would probably have to say "Burn After Reading" off the top of my head.

Wall-E was also pretty great.

Did "There Will Be Blood" come out in \'08? I liked that alot too.

Gran Torino

Wasn\'t a fan of Let the Right One In.  I found the whole movie to be awkward.

It wasn\'t Kevin Smith\'s best by any means, but I enjoyed it. Still, Tropic Thunder takes the cake.

Tropic Thunder is the only other one that stands out.  Benjamin Button wasn\'t too bad and I might like Gran Torino once I see it.
