Six Days in Fallujah
« on: May 05, 2009, 10:59:43 AM »
Have you heard about this? It\'s shaping up to be an awesome and very realistic look at the U.S. attacking Fallujah. The developers are even calling it survival horror because of how combat really is over there. Konami pulled out as publisher last week, so hopefully someone else picks it up. I like it because I don\'t think it\'s trying to glorify the war. I got into it more in a blog here: http://videogamer.today.com/2009/05/05/six-days-in-fallujah/

Anyone else into this? A lot of people are offended by it or think it\'s too soon, which I can understand, but I\'m anxious to try it. I just hope the gameplay holds up to make it work.

After all the very negative hype surrounding this game, including some of it coming from the gaming community itself. I\'d be very surprised if it ever gets released.

This is what we need more of. Games that actually present something.

If you read anything the developers are putting out there, you can tell they\'re passionate about letting you see what it\'s really like. It\'s definitely a more artistic expression in that regard and I think that\'s what a lot of the people against it must be missing. It\'s not glorifying war, or it\'s not intending to, it\'s exposing it.
