A young girl (22) who used to work with me recently commited suicide by overdosing medication. I was pretty shocked to find out; she was a good person who felt trapped in a bad situation, I think. Turns out it was her second legit attempt at it, too.
 
Her family gathered at her mom\'s house after the cremation and during the wake (is that what that\'s called?), the girl\'s 24-year-old sister tried to OD, too. Ambulances showed up to take her to the hospital.
 
Must\'ve been some kind of childhood in that household...

Sorry to hear that Eiksirf. And her sister tried to OD also? Damn, must be horrible for the mother.

About 2 years ago a girl I used to work with also killed herself. She was always cheerful and happy, I never suspected anything.

sorry to hear. can relate with the situation...had a classmate in 7th grade (yea, 7th grade) kill himself. never suspected anything with him either. pretty surreal that theyre dead and that they killed themselves.

hopefully they get her sister counseling and all that

Sorry to hear that man, i always think of it this way, god isn\'t firing you, you\'re just quitting first.

I had a mate that used to work with me too, he killed himself and his brother found him, a few months later. Brother killed himself too..  This is indeed a fucked up world we live in and we have only ourselves to blame. I once found a dood dead too, not sure if i ever posted here about it, but that was pretty fucked up.

If you\'re gonna kill yourself, at least take other fuckers with you ;) or even better, rob a bank, atleast u can get some money and live a little first. ;)

But in all seriousness, sucks to hear man. Thankfully I\'ve never had anyone I know take their own life. I know of people who have but thankfully, nobody close to me.

Kinda. I work full time in an office for a pool company. But its tanking so I dunno if its going to be in business in a couple months. Two of our customers cancelled their weekly service today. And my boss is a huge prick so I may just quit and find a new and less stressful job. My boss is one of those guys that can\'t make up his mind and constantly contradicts himself and is never happy.

BUT, I\'m trying to get my film/tv career going. My girlfriend\'s mom knows someone who is a stunt coordinator and he\'s gonna try to help me find a job so that is real good. I hope it pulls through because I need to get out of this deadend job and get my career going.

I do have an unpaid job as a director of photography for an independent film that is starting shooting in a few weeks. Though, if it gets sold, I should make some money for my efforts. I\'m just doing it for experience and more importantly, contacts.

I can identify with this.  My best friend committed suicide roughly a year ago.  I could not see it coming and still deal with a lot of guilt associated with it.  Just an awful feeling that I wouldn\'t wish on my worst enemy.
