Fat Princess

Anyone play this yet?  Reviewers are giving it great scores, especially since it\'s only $15.

I downloaded it

at first I couldn\'t figure out what the fuck I was supposed to do control-wise, but now I\'m beginning to get the hang of it. it\'s quite addictive once you get into the swing of it.

they released it too soon though, there\'s a lot of issues with online play, it\'s more miss than hit regarding getting into servers, and there are a lot of complaints about poorly balanced classes, namely the mage.

but I heard they are working on a patch to iron those creases out, so it\'s all well and good.

same here.  I was really hoping for a tutorial level vs. memorizing 20 pages worth of directions.  Oh well, looks like I\'ll be familiar with it all in a week or so.

tutorial would have been better yeah, that;s one of the first things that went though my mind. I got about half way through reading through the directions before I sacked it and decided to blag my way through the game instead.

if you play that storyline mode, you pretty much pick up most of the skills in that. the game controls consist mostly of just hitting x, square and L1. holding x for a second or so when gathering resources gives you a power boost, so instead of having to strike the tree or boulder 5 or 6 times, it takes just 2 strikes.
